After losing more than 200-lbs, Doug starts to steadily gain back the weight.

His biggest issue is his diet. Although he was maintaining a vegetarian lifestyle, he was sustaining himself with carbs and getting further and further away from his weight-loss goals.

His wife, Ashley, and Dr. Nowzaradan are concerned about his lack of progress and suggest seeing a therapist to work through his issues with food.

Ashley has been on her own weight-loss journey, having gastric bypass surgery and losing alongside Doug.

Doug and Ashley reconnect after helping each other through the toughest parts of their weight-loss journeys.
