Funny lady Amy Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer welcomed their son Gene back in May. While she has been enjoying her new role as mom, the 38-year-old actress and comedian is getting candid about wanting to have more kids and how IVF treatments and freezing her eggs will hopefully give Gene a little brother or sister.

“I’m a week into IVF and feeling really run down and emotional,” Schumer captioned a photo on Instagram of her bruised belly from IVF treatments. “If anyone went through it and if you have any advice or wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with me please do.”

Instead of just asking her followers to comment on her post, Schumer has put her cellphone number in her Instagram bio so that moms and dads that have been through their own IVF journey can simply text her. “My number is in my bio. We are freezing my eggs and figuring out what to do to give Gene a sibling,” she added.

Her post received an outpouring of love and support from fans and celebrities alike who sent the couple love, as well as tips they learned during their own IVF experiences.

In a follow-up post, Schumer was thankful for advice that was shared and hopeful for the future.

“Thank you ladies and a few gentlemen,” she wrote. “We are gonna freeze embryos hopefully. I learned to eat salty food after and drink Gatorade. Ice the area. Take arnica and put arnica on the bruises. To be patient and kind to myself and that there are sooooo many of us willing to be there for each other. Your stories helped me more than you can imagine. I feel incredibly lucky. I’m really hoping this works and staying positive. Much much love!”

In true Amy Schumer fashion, she found a way to keep it all light and keep us all laughing by posting a few hilarious videos of herself being a bit loopy from anesthesia after egg retrieval.

We are sending well wishes and luck to Amy and all women going through IVF.
