When my best friend moved across the country, I knew we would have to step up our texting and Facetime to stay connected. However, for those days that I'm really missing my bestie or for the moms whose kids are away at college, there might be another way to feel like your loved one is right there with you. How about a life sized cardboard cutout of the person you are missing the most? No really, this is a thing and I'm here for it.

Cardboard Cutout Standees is a company that will create a life-sized cutout of your favorite cousin that can't make it to the family reunion, your four legged friend so you can take them to work with your every day, your child dressed like their favorite superhero so their sweet face can be the centerpiece of their birthday party, or of you because you are really feeling yourself in your favorite dress and heels.

Even celebs are getting in on the cardboard cutouts trend. When Busy Phillips was home recovering from surgery, her BFF Michelle Willems couldn't be there for her friend. So rather then send flowers or a basket of muffins, she sent her a life-sized cutout to be there for moral support. That, my friends is the kind of friend we all need in our lives.

"My BFF sent me a card board cut out of herself to cheer me up post-surgery and it is both hilarious and terrifying," Busy captioned the selfie with the cardboard version of her bestie.

According to the company, cutouts start at three feet, which you can snag for around $50. However, if you are a believer that bigger is better, a 7'11"' cutout can be yours for around $140.

Not sure about the cutout--fair enough. However, let me just say that the holidays are right around the corner, and maybe a cardboard cutout is the perfect gift for the one person your list who has everything. Ask yourself if they have a life-sized version of you and if the answer is no--well now you can make it happen.
