If you are a stay at home mom, you know that it's one of the hardest jobs on the planet. Raising children is arguably the most important job one could ever have. Multitasking dozens of things at one time is the norm for a stay at home mom. They spend most of their time worrying about others and making sure everyone in the house is happy. This can be extremely exhausting, but most moms feel bad admitting to that fact. If you are in a similar situation than we have the number one tip that all stay at home moms need to do: schedule "you" time!

No matter what job you have, it is always important to never let yourself get overworked. While being a mother is a full-time job, it's okay to take a day off. In fact, it's encouraged! Every now and again moms everywhere should schedule an afternoon or an evening where they can do something for themselves. Have your partner or babysitter watch the children, even if it is just for a few hours. Take the day to go shopping for yourself or have a night out with the girls in order to relieve stress and get out of the house!

It is not selfish to take time for yourself. The better you care for yourself, the better you can care for your family. If you are constantly burnt out and exhausted, you are only making your body more run down. Self-care is one of the most important, and most overlooked things, in people's lives. We hate to admit that we need a break because we want to be supermom. But taking some time off so you can relax is only going to help you to be the supermom we know you are!

If you can't find someone to watch the kids, don't worry! Try to wake up an hour before the family or stay up an hour late in order to enjoy some blissful, uninterrupted you time. You will be amazed what just an hour doing something you love can do for your overall mood and happiness. Moms everywhere agree that this is the key to staying healthy, both mentally and physically, when you are a stay at home mom. So, call the babysitter, grab a glass of wine and your favorite book and enjoy a night off! You deserve it! Check out why you also need to partake in self-care Sunday here!
