Now that 2018 is quickly coming to an end, many people are looking back and evaluating their year. Did they achieve their goals? Did they stick to resolutions? Did they miss any big opportunities? One couple was feeling this way and wanted to finish off the year as strong as possible.

David and Rachel Hollis decided they would come up with a challenge for the last 90 days of the year. They thought that if they could end the year strong, then they wouldn’t look back and wish they had done more. They would know that they were starting the year on top and ready to crush 2019, rather than already feeling behind.

The challenge entails what the couple liked to call, “5 to Thrive.” These are 5 things that they found during their personal development journeys that helped them the most. These are the key steps they believe everyone should be taking to live a better life and reach optimal happiness.

5 Challenges:

  1. Wake up 1 hour earlier than you usually do and do something for yourself
  2. Move your body for 30 minutes every single day, no exceptions
  3. Drink half your body weight in ounces of water
  4. Give up one unhealthy habit for 30 days (no cheat days or else you have to start over)
  5. Write down 10 things every night that you are grateful for that day

Rachel and David challenge, you to do each of every single day for 90 days. They know it sounds hard and it is meant to be a physical and mental challenge. But, by doing this, you will finish the year feeling like you’ve accomplished so much and won’t feel guilted into making outlandish new year’s resolutions.

Over 200,000 people have signed up for this challenge and are following Rachel and David along on their journey to end 2018 on a positive note. This is an empowering challenge that will make you realize how capable you are of achieving your goals. They are encouraging people to push past the hard moments when they want to give up because those are the same moments where you break new barriers of what you thought you could do.
