90 Day Fiancé’s Alexei Brovarnik Saved a Drowning Man’s Life

90 Day hero! While on vacation in Nassau, Bahamas, 90 Day Fiancé’s Alexei Brovarnik saved a man who was drowning on Sunday. A video of the incident was shared by his wife, Loren Brovarnik, who expressed a growing pride in her husband and his feat.
In her video caption, Loren explained that the unnamed man appeared to be intoxicated when he waded too far into the water and began to drown. Seeing his distress, Alexei leaped into action and pulled the unconscious man back onto shore.
“I am glad I was able to be at the right place at the right time today to pull this kid out of the water before it was too late,” Brovarnik said on Instagram.
For Loren, the incident was a reminder that everything happens for a reason.
“We are meant to be in a place in time for a reason,” Loren said in an Instagram post. “Alex and his friend Sean were meant to be at this beach, at this exact time because if not, who knows what could have happened. My husband saved a man’s life today! And I couldn’t be more proud, yet not surprised at the same time!”
Furthermore, Loren hopes this moment will help people choose their friends wisely. As she explains, the unnamed man’s friends were standing by as the accident took place.
“My husband was watching a guy who was beyond intoxicated, who was with his ‘friends’ who just stood there and watched!” Loren said. “You can see the guy’s ‘friends’ standing there and then walking away! Not one of them went in the ambulance with him either. It goes to show, you may think your friends are friends, but God forbid something bad happens. Would [they] help you or just stand there?”
Supporters of the couple, who have followed their story since their first appearance on season three of 90 Day Fiancé, flooded the comment section with good wishes.
“Thank you, Alex, for [saving] the man’s life,” fellow 90 Day Fiancé cast member Annie Toborowsky commented.
