Cotton Candy Bouquets Are a Sweet New Wedding Trend

A beautiful bouquet that doubles as a snack? Yes!

This may be the wedding season you find yourself saying “and the bride’s bouquet looked delicious!”, because the latest spin on wedding flowers is to skip the flowers altogether and walk down the aisle carrying a yummy bouquet of cotton candy.

Not sure about this latest wedding trend? Just take a look at these brides and bridesmaids donning a giant swirl of pink sugary goodness and you may get on the bandwagon.

With bridal bouquets averaging anywhere between $150 to upwards of $450 and her lovely bridesmaids’ bouquets costing on average $65 to $125, the cotton candy bouquets are not only trendy and look gorgeous in photos, they’ll also save the couple a lot on their wedding budget. Plus, standing around during the ceremony and snapping dozens of pictures is exhausting. Now the wedding party can have a little snack and the sugar rush can carry them into dancing all night at the reception.

If you’re at all worried that not enough ladies will line up to catch the bouquet at the end of the night, a sugary sweet bouquet might change the single ladies’ minds. In fact, you may need to have a few extra on hand for the guests who want a bite.

Million Miles Weddings captioned photos of brides carrying cotton candy bouquets on Instagram with this insight into why brides are switching up the traditional floral bouquet: “Some brides are ditching the traditional flower bouquet for something different....and edible. Cotton Candy bouquets are fun and whimsical.”

Recent bride Faheema Chaudhury opted for a cotton candy bouquet and said it was a hit with all of her guests. "I loooooove cotton candy and knew I had to make a cotton candy bouquet for my wedding," she told Delish. She loved her bouquet so much that she carried it all night, even while she danced with her new husband.

While we still love the bride that carried a bouquet of powdered donuts, the cotton candy bouquet may take the cake.
